MUARA TAKUS TEMPLE

Muara Takus Temple is a Buddhist temple located in Riau, Indonesia. This temple complex is located in the village of precisely Barelang, District XIII Koto Kampar Regency or the distance is approximately 135 kilometers from the city of Pekanbaru, Riau. The distance between this temple complex in the village center Barelang approximately 2.5 miles and not far from the edge of the Kampar River Right. 

This temple complex surrounded by a wall measuring 74 x 74 meters outside the walls there are also arealnya sized ground 1.5 x 1.5 kilometers surrounding.Within this complex there are also old temple buildings, temples and Mahligai Youngest Stupa and Palangka. Temple building material composed of sandstone, river rock and brick. According to sources original, bricks for this building built in the village Pongkai, a village located on the downstream side of the temple complex. Former mining land for the bricks until now regarded as a highly respected residents. To carry bricks to the temple, done in relay from hand to hand. This story must be true although not yet give the impression that temple building was the work together and conducted by the crowds.

In other hand, apart from the Old Temple, Temple Youngest, and Palangka Mahligai Stupa, in the temple complex was also found that mound kiln is estimated as human bones. Outside the compound there are also buildings (the former) is made of brick, which has not been established types of buildings.

Stowaway in Garuda Flight

Mario Steve Ambarita, 21, was caught on Tuesday, April 7, as he emerged from a Garuda Indonesia plane that had just landed at the Soekarno-Hatta International airport. What made him suspicious was the fact that he was exiting from the plane’s wheel well, and not through the door like everyone else.

What prompted Mario to do such a reckless thing? He said he simply wanted to see Jakarta, where he was born, and meet his long time idol — the president. He sneaked into a plane and fly 949 kilometers while sitting in the landing gear dock.
Mario admitted that he snuck into the plane before it took off from the Sultan Syarif Kasim II airport in Pekanbaru, Riau, in western Indonesia. And that he stayed in the wheel well during the 105-minute flight.

He arrived alive and well in Jakarta The airport clinic said Mario was fine but perhaps needed to recover from his unusual ordeal.
“We don’t know how he was able to enter the (restricted) area,” Garuda Indonesia’s vice president for corporate communications, Pujobroto, told Kompas.com. “He knew that the plane would stop for a moment before taking off. That was when he entered the plane through the wheel,” Pujobroto said.

Pekanbaru Development

Pekanbaru is the capital of the Riau province.  In PDBD  (Pendapatan Domestik Regional Bruto ) of Pekanbaru is number two in Sumatra and included in one of the cities with highest incomes for Indonesia. Pekanbaru has been developing well. This thing is  caused by some factors.  As we know, Riau  is so rich with gas and oil and it is  managed by Pekanbaru goverment. Beside that, the other sectors like banking,  consumption, and property are also pushing Pekanbaru more success in economic side.

 Since 2003, Pekanbaru has many  developments especially mall, Plaza, or kinds of market. It even continues to be done until now. It will bring profit for people. First, people will get easy to shop. Like Pekanbaru mall in Jl. Sudirman, SKA mall in Jl. Tuanku Tambusai, Ciputra mall in Jl. Riau, and the other. They are on the strategic place that easy to find without  worried about far of the location. Second, many developments give the jobs for people. In accordance with the progress of development, it aslo provides employment balancing development itself. So, it is reducing unemployment and poverty in Riau,especially in Pekanbaru.

            In other hand,  development also give negative impacts for people.  First, many developments make Pekanbaru area is increasingly narrow. It can be seen in some traffic jam in Pekanbaru like Jl. Riau, Jl. Tuanku Tambusai, Jl. Sudirman, and so on. The problem is all traffic jams are happening near shopping centers. Second, progress of development doesn't balance with reboization in Pekanbaru area. Tight construction, including the vehicle fumes, makes Pekanbaru is lack of fresh air. This thing is also supported by Riau location in maps and as oil producing.

In conclusion, development in Pekanbaru give positive impacts to increase people economic especially utilizing the development sector that is happening in Pekanbaru. Although like that,  it makes Pekanbaru more  narrow. It also brings traffic jam in some locations and makes the air of Pekanbaru is not really fresh again. So, we  can keep making development in Pekanbaru,  but we have to make balancing with what people need. Making people become comfortable in the highway and get good air is priority.
